Pettus Investigations, LLC (Pettus) is owned and operated by Helena Snyder — a Certified Fraud Examiner and licensed private investigator in Oregon and Washington with nearly three decades of investigative work behind her.
Helena founded Pettus in 2007 after eight years in the SIU at Standard Insurance Company, where she investigated suspect claims and helped develop the company's anti-fraud training program. Before that, she managed the fraud department for a credit card services firm. The thread connecting all of it: getting to a defensible answer when the surface story doesn't quite hold together.
Beyond casework, Helena is the chair of the Private Investigator Subcommittee, and a member of the Private Security and Investigator Policy Committee with the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST), where she helps shape the licensing and policy framework for investigators across the state.
